Perific

How to troubleshoot your Perific device

Start by locating the device. Perific Max and Perific One are usually found in the fuse box, placed near your smart electricity meter. Perific Flow is typically installed near your heat pump.

Check the device's mode by observing the LED status light.

Centered Image
Flashing blue

The device is in configuration mode, ready to be connected to a Wi-Fi network using the Perific app.

Flashing yellow

The device is currently trying to connect to the specified Wi-Fi network.

Flashing yellow for an extended time may indicate:

  • Incorrect SSID
  • The device is out of Wi-Fi range
  • 2.4GHz network is not available
Wi-Fi Antenna Weak Wi-Fi signal? Use the external antenna accessory to extend the range.

Flashing green

The device is connected to the router and attempting to reach the Perific system.

A prolonged green blink often indicates no internet connection or blocked outbound ports on the router. Ensure the following ports are open:

  • UDP traffic to phase.device.enegic.com:65110
  • Firmware updates (HTTP/TCP) to firmware.enegic.com:89
  • NTP (UDP) to destination port 4242
  • Timezone info (UDP) to timezoned.rop.nl:2342

Solid green light

The device is correctly configured to a Wi-Fi network and connected to the Perific system.

Flashing red

The device cannot connect to Wi-Fi due to an incorrect network name or password.

Press the lower button for about 10 seconds to enter configuration mode and reconfigure it in the Perific app.

No light

For some models, the LED enters sleep mode about a minute after completing configuration. Press the button for about 2 seconds to wake it and check the current status.

If the LED remains off, the device may be improperly powered. Unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

If it works correctly, it will blink and then show a green light. If not, check the external power source or that the HAN/P1 RJ12 port is enabled.

If the external power source isn’t supplying power, try:
DIN Adapter: Reset the dial by turning the screw 100% clockwise and then 20% counter-clockwise. Make sure the blue LED is lit on the transformer.
USB Adapter: Try another 5V adapter.

Reconfigure Network

If, for example, you’ve changed the password for your Wi-Fi network, the Perific device needs to be reconfigured to connect using the new password.

You can do this directly from the device settings page in the Perific app.
